Domains, hosting and email

Domains, DNS, hosting and email are the part of the job nobody wants to deal with, until one day the site won’t open, the certificate has expired or customers tell you your emails are landing in spam. That’s when you find out the domain is registered to an old supplier and nobody remembers the passwords.

With us you have one contact for everything: we register or recover your domain, put your site on our servers in Europe, set up your mailboxes and keep an eye on everything. If something stops working, the monitoring alerts us, so you don’t have to be the one to tell us.

How we work

1. Inventory. We check where your domain, site and email are today, who they’re registered to and which logins are missing.
2. Written proposal. We tell you what to move, what to leave where it is and what it costs per year.
3. Preparation. We set up hosting and mailboxes on our servers before touching anything you already have.
4. Switchover. We change the DNS (the settings that tell the internet where your site and email live) at a low-traffic time.
5. Checks. We make sure the site, certificate and email all work and that your emails pass the providers’ checks.
6. Ongoing management. From then on we take care of renewals, backups, updates and monitoring.

Emails that actually arrive

When you send an email, Gmail, Outlook and the other providers ask one question: does this message really come from who it says it does? To answer, they look at three settings on your domain.

• SPF is the list of servers allowed to send email on your behalf.
• DKIM is a digital signature that proves the message wasn’t changed along the way.
• DMARC tells providers what to do with messages that fail the first two checks, and lets you receive a report.

If any of these is missing or wrong, your emails can end up in spam even when you’re writing to a customer who is expecting to hear from you. We set up all three and check them with test messages.

Your email runs on European servers that we manage ourselves, with antispam and antivirus. Your data stays in Europe, backups are encrypted and you don’t depend on a per-mailbox subscription with a large outside provider.
